Add new content – By way of a content management system
or blog. If the content of your site never changes there's no incentive
to revisit the site.
Study your server log files or use Google
Analytics. These will tell you how many people visit your
site, which pages are most popular, which are least popular and a host
of other information you can use to fine tune your web site.
Repair dead links on your web site. They give the impression
that you don't care about your site, and by extension it's visitors.
Make your headings count. Use large easy to understand
headings on all of your web pages. Avoid technical jargon or cute headings.
Use bulleted lists and flow charts to improve readability.
Study after study has shown that most people don't read web pages, they
scan them. You are more likely to keep visitors from clicking away if
you make your point quickly and concisely.
Focus on the user – show benefits not features, what
will your product do for them.
Make your web writing sharper, more concise. In general,
writing for the web should contain 50% fewer words than printed material.

Use easy to read fonts and text colour.Sans-serif
fonts are easier to read on a screen. Dark text on a light background
causes less eyestrain than the reverse.
View your web site in different browsers. Ensure
the look and structure of your web site is similar in all browsers.
Have appropriate inbound and outbound links on your site.
Linking to other web sites will help get your site get better rankings
on the search engines. Find web sites that can add value to yours and
ask if you can link to those sites in exchange for them linking to yours.
